High Street Mash-Up
One of the things I've done for this workshop is take the concept of a pound shop (something very common in 'rougher' areas of London) and a made it look like something that could be found in a 'posher' high street. The photo I used was of Benefit make-up in Spitalfields which is kind of ironic because I don't they sell anything for a pound!
Mono-printing
This is another mono-print using blue ink on layout paper and then edited digitally. I used a drawing I did in a sketchbook of buildings from around London that are not famous or important but beautiful. Unfortunately I think I prefer the drawing to the mono-print but I'll probably still use it in my book.
Mapping
One of the things I'm doing as a progression of the mapping workshop is drawing the names of all the streets near where I live to form a map of them. I overlayed it on a photo of bricks from my road to make it slightly more interesting.
Positive and Negative Space
This was originally a sketched plan for the extension of this workshop but as I quite liked the way it looked I'm going to use it as a page in my book with the photo of evening standards behind it.
