21/01...St Bride Library and Herb Lubalin

My group and I took a trip to the St Bride Institute to do some further research into our typeface, Bell Centennial, which proved to be really helpful. While we were there we had a good look around at all the amazing books and I picked up one called 'Herb Lubalin: Art Director; Graphic Designer; Typographer'. Until I looked through this book I had never really appreciated how incredible this guy really was. I had seen some of his stuff at an exhibition at the Kemistry Gallery but that did not do his vast body of work justice.
